Guitar Building and Building Independence
For this Project I set out to build an electric guitar. Not only just for the building aspect but to build on my independence as a teenager who is preparing to go to college and who wont have to rely on parents .
EnglishFor my English portion I made a video along with a script explaining the reasoning in the process of building the guitar.

Social StudiesFor my social studies portion I included a section of the video that focuses on the importance of building my independence as a teenager.

ArtFor my art portion I built a black Stratocaster with genuine Fender guitar parts. While trying to make as close of a replica to a 1950s Strat.

English
In the script I wrote for my english portion there are bulleted points explaining what I'm going to cover in the video while recording. This script is one of two bullet scripts. In this script it focuses on the actual building decisions instead of the more feeling aspect of it . The reason why it wasn't a word for word script was because I wanted what I was saying to be more personal then to just read off of a script.
Social Studies
In the script I wrote for my Social Studies portion there are bulleted points explaining what I'm going to cover in the video while recording. This script is the second part of my video following the first script for English. In this script I focus more on the actual reasoning on why I built a guitar. I did it because I wanted to have my own independence when making a big decision. For example I didn't ask my parents, teachers, or even tell my friends so no one would sway my decision that I wanted to make. I did this mainly because I knew later in my life I would have to make even bigger decisions than just building something. So for practice I emailed Fender and asked if they could support my project. They accepted my offer and sent me the parts I needed. Then I went on to build the actual guitar and with basic knowledge of electronics and hours of research I built my first guitar without anyone's assistance.

Art
For the art portion of my project I built a 1950s Stratocaster using licensed fender parts. I used basic electronics knowledge and research I found about guitar building with a wopping 45 references to help in the building process.
I used parts that would be reminiscent if a standard black Strat from the 50s. For example I chose a more classic bridge style and tuning machines instead of modern ones. Also the wiring is the same schematic as 1950s Strats.
